    Some of the most iconic buildings on the Ferrari campus provide the backdrop to light projections that express the unique nature of a company composed of over 5,000 people. The show occupies a scenic space of more than one kilometre along Viale Enzo Ferrari and is animated with three-dimensional images and light architectures created by more than 400 elements using the latest low-energy technologies, including projectors, LED bars and laser effects.Projected onto the brick arch framing Ferrari’s historic entranceway are videos of some of the cars that have passed through it over the years. They include the 125 S which made its debut here in 1947, marking the start of an incredible series of models, and the two 499P Hypercars that marked the Prancing Horse’s triumphant return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans this June.Continuing along the avenue lit up in red, the former paint shop tower is transformed into a large screen emblazoned with the values that the Prancing Horse has always embodied: Individual and Team; Tradition and Innovation; Passion and Achievement.Other elements commemorate the year’s highlights, showing the faces of workers from each part of the company’s identity: Racing, Sports Cars and Lifestyle. Ferrari’s people are at the heart of a range of initiatives announced over recent months, including the broad-based share ownership scheme which will make each employee a shareholder.

The SP-8 one-off joins the hallowed ranks of the most exclusive segment in the Ferrari range, unique cars crafted around individual clients’ specifications, with the result that they embody the very pinnacle of Prancing Horse customisation.The car’s name celebrates its 3.9-litre V8 twin-turbo engine, one of the most critically-acclaimed power units in history and the winner of the prestigious Engine of the Year (IEOTY) award on four consecutive occasions. As the client that commissioned the SP-8 hails from Taiwan, the number 8 is also significant as it considered extremely lucky in Chinese culture, traditionally auguring success, good fortune and personal achievement.The SP-8’s most unique feature is the fact that it has no roof, making it a thoroughbred two-seater roadster in every respect, underscoring its sporty character and the instantly exhilarating visual and en plein air driving experience it delivers. This solution demanded extensive refining of its aerodynamics through a combination of CFD simulations, wind tunnel testing and track testing to guarantee a standard of acoustic comfort and wind feeling comparable to the car that inspired it.The car’s main styling theme centres around the way in which its volumes crossover and fuse into one another: the unpainted carbon-fibre front wraps around to the tail, creating a two-tone effect that creates a powerful contrast in terms of both colour and materials.   • Ferrari 499P - all the Maranello hypercar’s development phases

    From the announcement in February 2021 of Ferrari’s return to the top endurance class up until its debut in the Hypercar class of the FIA World Endurance Championship on 17 March 2023, the 499P has passed through several development stages. It was a team effort involving over 30 engineers.The test circuits were chosen according to their characteristics and to maximise the limited time available: Fiorano, Imola, Mugello and Vallelunga; plus Paul Ricard, Aragon and Portimão (three European tracks suitable for endurance tests). Portimão will also host a round of the WEC, as will Monza and Sebring. The two cars had covered a total of over 24,000 kilometres before March.Continuous interaction between the digital and real ‘world’ made it possible to fine-tune the 499P’s various components, using two cars simultaneously and employing a team of 30 engineers. During development, track work accounts for about 70% of the effort, and the remaining 30% occurs in the simulator.
