China speeds up vaccines production for developing countries

Beijing, Feb 23 (EFE/EPA).- China expects to increase its COVID-19 vaccines production to 2 billion doses in 2021 and 4 billion by 2022, an ambitious plan with which Beijing aims to become the major distributor of the vaccines in developing countries.These 4 billion doses will cover up to 40 percent of global demand, the president of the China Vaccine Industry Association, Feng Duojia told local media.
