Amazon said Sidewalk uses WiFi from neighbors to create "a shared network that helps devices work better," but some raised privacy concerns. Amazon users are being automatically opted into Sidewalk, a feature that will connect Alexa devices to nearby WiFi networks, even those owned by someone else. It allows nearby devices to use a portion of a neighbor's WiFi bandwidth, so that devices can have more range.

On Wednesday, Microsoft announced that over 270 million PC users are running Windows 10. The news comes just over a year after the operating system's release. Microsoft confirmed that this makes Windows 10 "the fastest growing version of Windows," both for personal and business use. The holiday shopping season was a big boost for the tech giant, since 40% of the devices running Windows 10 were activated after Black Friday. Aside from the huge premieres, Camila Alves came out to Unicef kid power event to talk about activeness and engaged with the kids. Chewbacca and BB-8 also came to the Kid power event. Popular Mexican singer Thalia arrived to a Macy's press event where she gave an interview and unveiled her new fashion line. The Global We Day in London celebrates the youth making a difference in their communities. The stars honoring the red carpet at the event were Clive Owen, Rita Ora and Tallia Storm.
