Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham criticized the House impeachment efforts on Wednesday. Graham appeared to shade Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, says Business Insider. "It is a rushed process that, over time, will become a threat to future presidents," Graham said. He continued with, "As to Senate leadership, I fear they are making the problem worse, not better." Graham broke from Trump and firmly acknowledged that Biden won the 2020 race. However, on Tuesday, Graham accompanied Trump on Air Force One for a visit to Alamo, Texas.

Lindsey Graham Business Insider reports Graham said he was 'embarrassed and disgusted' by Wednesday's breach, saying the 'domestic terrorists' need to be prosecuted. Thursday, he slammed Trump's legal team for pushing false claims about the election after President-elect Joe Biden was declared the winner. Nevertheless, Business Insider reports Graham said he doesn't believe invoking the 25th Amendment is 'appropriate at this point.'
On Friday, Sen. Lindsey Graham urged Congress to seriously consider giving Americans $2,000 checks. The idea has been rejected by Senate Republicans multiple times. On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell rejected increasing stimulus checks. He said the increase would be "socialism for the rich." Business Insider reports that Graham disagreed with McConnell's characterization. "Going from $600 to $2,000 doesn't make you a socialist."
