NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg says Ukraine "simply cannot wait" for more air defences as Kyiv pleads with Western allies to step up deliveries to stave off Russia's attacks. NATO members have supplied weaponry worth billions of dollars to help fight Russia's more than seven-month invasion of Ukraine and have vowed to keep supplies flowing as Kyiv pushes to recapture occupied territories. NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg says that Ukraine's western backers are looking to provide Kyiv with more air defences to protect against Russia's "indiscriminate" missile attacks across the country. "We will address how to ramp up support for Ukraine and the top priority will be more air defence for Ukraine," Stoltenberg says at the start of a meeting by Ukraine's allies on arms supplies to Kyiv. G7 foreign ministers have pledged to "everything possible" to bolster Ukraine's air defences in the face of Russia's invasion following a meeting on the Italian island of Capri, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani says.
