British Foreign Secretary David Cameron urges members of the US Congress to approve a Ukraine aid package. "We should be standing up for freedom, standing up for the right of this country to defend itself and making sure that Putin doesn't win," he says while on a visit to Bulgaria. The Republican leader of the US House of Representatives blocked war aid for Ukraine on February 13, ignoring President Joe Biden's plea that passing the bill was vital for standing up to Russian President Vladimir Putin. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres shakes hands with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov for a photo op ahead of a closed-door meeting. Lavrov is at the helm of the rotating presidency of the UN Security Council in April. Guterres denounced the "devastation" caused by Moscow's invasion of Ukraine during a Security Council meeting chaired by Lavrov. IMAGES
