After Reese Witherspoon was Arrested along with her husband Jim Toth she made a brave appearance with Matthew McConaughey for the premiere of "Mud", but she did appear to be very comfortable.
MUD tells the story of a dangerous but charismatic fugitive (Matthew McConaughey) hiding out from bounty hunters on a remote island on the Mississippi. Discovered living on a boat in a tree by two young boys, Ellis (Tye Sheridan) and Neckbone (Jacob Lofland), an unlikely friendship forms as the boys struggle to help Mud escape his pursuers whilst at the same time reunite him with his long-time love, Juniper (Reese Witherspoon).
Charlize Theron will receive the 2019 American Cinematheque Award.
