On the outskirts of Kiev, hundreds of teachers, doctors, and other civilians are trained by the Ukrainian army to fight on the front line in Eastern Ukraine. Military tactics, fire arms training and first aid are taught to these volunteers to prepare them for the war.

NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg says that alliance members must guarantee long-term weapon deliveries for Ukraine, as ministers prepared to discuss a proposal for a 100-billion-euro, five-year fund.
