Hwacheon-gun , Jun 25 (EFE/EPA).- South Korean veterans Friday commemorated the 71st anniversary of the Korean War near the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on Hwacheon-gun in Gangwon-do, South Korea.Sixteen nations fought for South Korea under the United Nations (UN) flag during the 1950-53 Korean War.The DMZ was established at the end of the conflict to serve as a buffer zone between North and South Korea.
