Kathie Lee Gifford Returns to ‘Today,’ Pays Tribute to Late Husband

Kathie Lee Gifford returned to the “Today” show on Monday for the first time since her husband, sportscaster Frank Gifford, died on August 9. Gifford paid an emotional tribute to her late husband, and expressed gratitude for the support and condolences she received. “This was a man at complete peace in his life,” Gifford said. “He might’ve been the happiest, most contented person in the world at this point in his life.” Gifford, an NFL Hall of Famer who played for the New York Giants, died of natural causes at his home in Connecticut.
