  • UN Climate Talks Extend Into Extra Day

    According to Reuters, climate talks at the United Nations’ to agree on the rules of the 2015 Paris Agreement have dragged into an extra day on Saturday. Despite this, European climate commissioner Miguel Arias Canete seemed optimistic about a deal, saying, "A deal to make the Paris Agreement operational is within reach." Countries are on a self-imposed deadline to produce a “rulebook” for the 2015 Agreement, which aims to limit the global temperature rise to less than 2 degrees Celsius and comes into force in 2020.
