The New York Auto Show is one of the oldest US car shows but still attracts a great audience. We were there and to find our Motor Show highlights. Until a few years ago the Tokyo Motor Show was one of Asia’s most important motor shows. But the boom in China has meant the show in the Japanese capital has been relegated to the second division. Nevertheless, there are some interesting premieres to marvel at this year.
At Auto Shanghai 2023, Audi and its two joint-venture partners – First Automotive Works (FAW) and SAIC Motor - showcase their product portfolio for China on a joint booth. Sustainable premium mobility is taking center stage with a lineup of all-electric Audi vehicles. The Formula 1 show car featuring the four rings’ signature livery as well as the Audi A6 Avant e-tron concept and the Audi urbansphere concept are displayed publicly in China for the first time.
Porsche is cruising into the future in three lanes: alongside exhilarating petrol engines and powerful plug-in hybrids, electric powertrains form the third pillar of the powertrain strategy. This diversity will be on display at the LA Auto Show. In total, Porsche is exhibiting five world premieres. In addition to the new 718 Cayman GT4 RS – the highlight of the motor show – the 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, the Taycan GTS, the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo and the Panamera Platinum Edition are making their first appearances.
Audi presents three new models for the Chinese market at the Auto Shanghai 2021: the Audi A6 e-tron concept, the all-new Audi Q5L and the all-new Audi A7L.
