Mitsubishi Electric Corporation presented its EMIRAI xDAS 3.1 concept car at the 2017 CeBIT tech fair in Hanover on Monday, giving a potential look at the types of vehicles which might be driving our roads in about 5 to 10 years time. The futuristic concept features next-gen driving-assistance technology, augmented reality navigation, gesture and face recognition, and wearable devices which provide information to specific passengers. It also collects information about the drivers' physical condition via camera sensors and a built-in cardiograph to combat fatigue.

The sporty S-Line further accentuates Corolla’s fun-to-drive nature with styling cues such as a wider honeycomb grille, dual tip exhaust, and rear spoiler.Inside, Corolla offers the driver and up to four passengers a cabin designed for exceptional comfort and convenience. The instrument panel is cleverly shaped to widen the driver’s field of view. Soft-touch controls provide ease of use while generous use of premium materials conveys an elevated sense of style.For 2023, Toyota makes big changes under the hood – upgrading all L-line Corolla models from a 1.8L engine to the same 2.0L Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine found in the sportier S series. This upgrade boosts output by 30 horsepower to 169 peak horsepower for even swifter acceleration. At the same time, the 2.0L engine boost fuel efficiency. Paired to a direct shift CVT and electric power steering, every Corolla delivers big driving fun.

XTREME concept vehicle demonstrates the enormous performance capacity and extraordinary versatility of Volkswagen’s modular electric drive matrix (MEB). A performance drive on the rear axle and software adjustments to the control unit give the ID. XTREME impressive off-road capabilities. The fully electric all-wheel drive develops a system power of 285 kW/387 PS. This corresponds to a performance increase of around 30 percent compared to the gene donor ID.4 GTX.Take an Xtra portion of passion, an Xtra pinch of enthusiasm and a test vehicle that is no longer needed in series development after successful trials. XTREME off-road concept car.“The all-electric concept vehicle with all-wheel drive is based on the ID.4 GTX and convincingly demonstrates the high technical potential of the modular electric drive matrix (MEB),” explains Andreas Reckewerth, Head of MEB Complete Vehicle. “The impressive electric power and the chassis with off-road capability are guarantees for extremely emotive driving experiences both on the road and on off-road terrain. In order to achieve this, the ID. XTREME combines the strengths of a modern SUV with the adventurous spirit and 4x4 capabilities of a robust off-roader.” The concept vehicle was designed and built in Volkswagen’s Engineering department in the team led by Andreas Reckewerth.
