Leaky Instrument Causes NASA To Suspend Mars Launch

Description

Due to a leaky instrument, NASA has put its next Mars mission on hold indefinitely. Known as InSight by the agency, NASA had planned to launch a new Mars lander in March from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. NASA said in a statement the faulty instrument is a very sensitive seismometer. The instrument is designed to measure movements in the Martian soil as small as the diameter of an atom.
