Amazon's Upcoming 'Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams' Rounds Out Its Cast


Amazon's upcoming anthology series Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams is rounding out its cast with the addition of Mireille Enos, Greg Kinnear, and Steve Buscemi. The trio join previously announced castmembers Cranston, Timothy Spall , Jack Reynor , Benedict Wong and Geraldine Chapline.The series, which consists of 10 stand-alone episodes, is based on the award-winning short stories of prolific author Philip K. Dick, best known for his novels Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, which became Ridley Scott's hit Blade Runner, A Scanner Darkly, and The Man In The High Castle, another Amazon series. No release date has been announced for the series.

Based on some of Dick’s short stories, "Electric Dreams" will feature a new story and new cast every episode. Singer-turned-actress Monae joins actors Juno Temple, Greg Kinnear, Steve Buscemi, Vera Farmiga, and Anna Paquin in the sci-fi anthology series which will air on Amazon as well as Channel 4 in the U.K.

  • 'Bates Motel' Actress Joins New TV Series

    According to a report, Vera Farmiga is due to appear in an episode of a new anthology series titled 'Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams'. The 'Bates Motel' actress will star alongside actor Mel Rodriguez from Fox's 'The Last Man on Earth' in an episode entitled “Kill All Others“. Reports add that Farmiga’s role is that of a politician who makes a shocking statement that encourages violence. Rodriguez plays the lone individual who then stands up to her beliefs and as a result, puts himself in danger. 'Electric Dreams' will air later this year on Channel 4 in the UK and then released soon after in the US on Amazon Prime.

    According to TheWrap, Amazon picked up a new 30-minute comedy series called “The Dangerous Book for Boys,” from 'Breaking Bad' star Bryan Cranston. Production for the comedy, which will be co-produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television. will begin in New York later this summer. The comedy follows a boy named Wyatt who, along with his brothers, is mourning the loss of their late father.
