Google is adding iOS support to its Android Wear smart watch platform, making it possible for iPhone owners to get notifications about phone calls and other functionality on a supported Android Wear watch. Apple’s own Apple Watch is only working with the company’s iPhone, and Android Wear devices have thus far only been compatible with Android phones. Android Watch users can get notifications from a number of apps delivered to their wrist, and Google offers deep integration into some of its own apps, making it possible to interact with Google Now or dictate emails to Gmail.
The Google Nexus Player is finally arriving in Australian stores from next week. The player, which runs the Android TV platform, was released in the U.S. in October 2014. It will be sold at JB Hi-Fi and Dick Smith from Tuesday for A$129. You can use Google's voice search technology to find out information about programs, discover content, find a YouTube video and navigate around the screen while the interface brings your favourite TV shows or apps to the surface.
