That estimate is according to the company's earnings report filed on Wednesday. The fine could come as a result of Facebook violating a 2011 agreement with the FTC regarding consumer privacy. As part of that agreement, Facebook agreed to get users' consent before sharing their data with third parties, such as Cambridge Analytica. According to Business Insider, Facebook also agreed to take steps to better protect users' data. Lyft's program will impact a minority of its driver who will get cash that they can either keep, or buy shares with at the IPO listing price. Uber's program, while similar in style, will likely reach the majority of its 3 million drivers, the report said.

    According to a report by Reuters, on Tuesday, top US officials arrived in the Chinese capital ahead of high-level trade talks as the world's two largest economies attempt to hammer out a deal ahead of a March 1 deadline and avoid another escalation of tariffs. On Thursday and Friday, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin are reportedly scheduled to hold talks with Chinese Vice Premier Liu He, the top economic adviser to President Xi Jinping. Reuters reports that if the two sides fail to reach a deal by March 1st, US tariffs on 200 billion-dollars worth of Chinese imports are scheduled to increase by 15 percent.
