Slowing Economy Will Hinder Trump's Bold Promises

Description

Donald Trump ran his campaign on the slogan “make America great again.” However, trump is inheriting a fairly strong economy from President Barack Obama. The problem he’s going to face is the economy is now beginning to slow down. 156,000 jobs were created in December, less than expected, and the unemployment rate rose a tenth of a point to 4.7 percent. The pace of job gains are expected to slow even more in 2017 as the economy reaches full employment and the Federal Reserve raises interest rates to avoid inflation. Such a slow-down will hinder Trump’s bold promises.
