Deliberation Set To Begin In Dylan Roof Sentencing Phase

Description

On Tuesday Jurors are expected to deliberate in the case of Charleston Church shooter Dylan Roof. Roof has already been convicted, however jurors must not decide weather he will face the death penalty or life in prison. On Monday both sides rested in the case closing out days of heartbreaking testimony from family, friends and victims involved in the shooting. During the penalty phase, prosecutors introduced Roof's writings in a jailhouse journal he kept after the killings. In one passage he wrote: "I would like to make it crystal clear. I do not regret what I did," Roof wrote in the journal. "I am not sorry. I have not shed a tear for the innocent people I killed."
