Massachusetts Man Sentenced to Death for a Second Time

Description

On Monday at the end of a two-month trial, a Massachusetts man who admitted to killing three people in a 2001 rampage in two U.S. states was sentenced to death for his crimes by a federal jury. Monday's sentence was the second time that 57-year-old Gary Lee Sampson has faced the possibility of the death penalty for the stabbing and strangling three people to death. A death sentence previously given to Sampson in 2004 was overturned by a judge in a 2011 ruling after it was revealed that one of the jurors in the trial lied about being a victim of domestic abuse.
