Italian brewery Birra Flea has launched a craft beer made from air. A giant humidifying machine, called Veragon, is said to condense hot air into water, which is then mashed with barley malt, hops and yeast, to produce beer.
A young man was captured enjoying sipping what appears to be a bottle of beer while sitting on a moving car in the centre of the Russian city of Voronezh in November. The video went viral, provoking facepalms, heated debate, and condemnation from fellow city residents. Is this just a fun-loving stunt or stupid, reckless, and dangerous behavior?
Oktoberfest is the biggest party in Germany, but you've got to dress the part. In the run-up to this year's Oktoberfest, which will kick off on Saturday, September 16, Stuttgart designer Kinga Mathe unveiled what may be the world's most expensive dirndl, which costs a whopping $32,000. The price tag for the dirndl may seem shocking, but every item is custom made for each individual client with only the finest materials and precious stones.
One Danish brewery called Noerrebro Bryghus collected over 13,000 gallons of human urine and used it as part of the process to make their flagship beer, a brew which is aptly called the 'Pisner'. The urine, which was collected from people who went to Roskilde Festival in 2015, is not used as a direct ingredient in the Pisner itself, but is sprayed on the land growing the necessary beer ingredients. The urine fertiliser was used on 11 tonnes of malting barley.

Beer yoga is basically exactly what it sounds like - people meet up in a yoga class and drink beers while practicing yoga positions. Of course, the participants might get a little tipsy and off balance, so it's a common sight to see people falling over, especially while trying for the more advanced positions. Russian Yoga Teacher Marina Vovchenko leads a class of about 25 people in 'beer yoga' sessions from her Moscow studio. People signing up to her yoga class can bring their own beer or buy some bottles which are sold on the spot. This unorthodox style of yoga first appeared in 2014 at the Burning Man festival in Nevada. The first two beer yoga schools began operating in Berlin, Germany and Sydney, Australia, and now the movement is starting to expand, with new schools in Bangkok, New York, and Marina's Moscow studio. What could be better than grabbing a few drinks with your friends, meeting new people, and sipping on some beer while fine-tuning your downward dog?
