France's Auvergne region: Where water is king

Description

The central French region of Auvergne is sculpted by waterways, its history told by its famed thermal baths. In Saint Nectaire, a spa town with a glorious past, some buildings have fallen into disrepair. Meanwhile, at the summit of the Puy de Dôme volcano, scientists study the water as it arrives from the sky, in a specially constructed weather station. Water is also a source of delight for hikers, who discover mountain springs. FRANCE 24 takes you on a tour of this beautiful region.
