Trump welcomes al-Sisi: Human rights take a back seat as leaders meet (part 2)

Description

Donald Trump gave a warm welcome to Egypt's President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in the White House this Monday. It's the first time El-Sisi is invited to the White House by a US president, Trump's predecessor Barack Obama kept him at a distance to criticize Egypt's human rights record. Trump on the other hand sees in el-Sisi a top ally in the fight against terrorism. Our panel analyses what some may see as a meeting of kindred spirits in Washington.

We will have to look for wild vegetables or beg elsewhere. Before my husband left, he told me that he would collect the rice and hide it in makeshift warehouses in the forest since there is no one in our village to stand guard. If you store our grains in our house, the army could come back. They will burn them or destroy them.
