President Joe Biden will host French President Emmanuel Macron at the White House on December 1 for the first full-scale state visit of his administration, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says. The visit will "underscore the deep and enduring relationship between the United States and France, our oldest ally," Jean-Pierre tells reporters at the White House. SOUNDBITE
Dr. Anthony Fauci says he and his wife would be thrilled if their three daughters came to spend Thanksgiving with them in Washington, D.C. But according to Business Insider, the daughters intend to stay right where they are, in various cities across the country that aren't low in COVID-19 cases. Fauci said in a webinar hosted by American University that his daughters want to protect him from the novel coronavirus. The seemingly tireless doctor is 79 years old. Like Fauci, other public health experts have said there's no one answer as to whether you should visit family over the holidays.
