This week Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signed new abortion legislation. The bill would require remains from a surgical abortion be either buried or cremated. DeWine has previously supported controversial and restrictive abortion legislation. He was expected to sign the bill. Other states have passed or at least considered similar bills. The Supreme Court upheld similar legislation in Indiana in 2019.

On Tuesday, it was announced that the “Bridesmaids” actor had teamed up with HBO Max for a new holiday-themed humanitarian effort. As part of the “20 Days of Kindness” campaign, HBO Max will donate $20,000 to a different cause daily for the next 20 days and encourage its viewers to do the same. The group’s founder and CEO is Benjamin Nolot, who, according to The Daily Beast, once deemed abortion a “holocaust” and referred to same-sex marriage as “an unspeakable offense to God.”
