The black specks in this one of a kind watch are not just for design - they are flecks of real dried blood which were dripped on the dial to commemorate the blood spilt during the Russian revolution in 1917, when the Communist uprising led to an overthrow of the Russian imperial family. Prince Rostislav Romanov, a descendant of the Tsars, spilled his own blood on the dial of this watch to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the revolution.
These wooden pistols are exact model replicas of classic Russian weapons and they are now available as hobby constructor kits marketed as a good old father and son activity. Russian manufacturer T.A.R.G. builds wooden pistol constructor kits with children in mind, so that kids can assemble various firearms including the Makarov pistol, the legendary COMBAT M1911 and others without too much trouble. The distinctive features of T.A.R.G. designs are that the weapon models are constructed with moving internal mechanisms, which imitate the sound of shots. The finishing touches include replicas of the little details found on the real weapons, like engravings and textures, made out of plywood. Users put the guns together by hand and complete their home-made wooden pistol replica with white craft glue. The producing company claims that kits help children to develop spatial thinking and small motility, alongside giving them an idea of how elementary mechanisms work. T.A.R.G. produces weapon kits only from eco-friendly and safe materials.
This small metal frame has the ability to turn your pistol into a sniper rifle. Combined with optical sights and a detachable stock, the sniper kit enables pistols to hit targets almost as accurately as a rifle and fits many types of pistols from around the world. The prototype kit helped inventor Andrei Nikolayev hit the mark perfectly from over 25 yards away as he tested it at a firing range in in Moscow. Pistols are excellent short range weapons but become inaccurate after 20 yards for all but the most skilled marksmen. Originally, a wooden prototype of the kit was presented at the Interpolitex-2016 exhibition which took place in Moscow in October 2016 and got the attention of military and security services buyers. The interest encouraged Nikolayev to build the metal version he tested at the firing range and even inspired him to look for other ways to improve the design. If you're a gun fanatic, the sniper rifle kit which makes many pistols effective at great range may just be the perfect addition to your collection of accessories.
You've never seen music like this! The head of Russia's Practical Shooting Federation Vitali Kryuchin performed Beethoven's 'Ode to Joy', 'Old McDonald Had a Farm', and other songs together with two singers, a violinist and a keyboard player by shooting bullets into chime targets at a shooting range in eastern Finland. Kryuchin shot the notes with precision on this new musical instrument, which he calls the 'Glockafons'.
