A mssive clean-up operation is underway in the Indonesian city of Beksai, on the eastern border of Jakarta after deadly floods submerged parts of the Indonesian capital. Five people were killed in the severe floods that submerged entire neighbourhoods in Indonesia's capital Jakarta, authorities say, as residents return to clean their homes and salvage belongings.
At least 16 people were killed and about 13,000 shanties and houses were damaged or swept away.
Residents of a neighbourhood in northeast Delhi where deadly riots broke out on Sunday say years of inter-religious harmony has been hurt by the violence. One Muslim resident describes how the rioters had burnt his house after having lived in the mainly Hindu neighbourhood 'harmoniously' for 25 years.
