Right now, it means you’ll need a lot of adapters. The outcry was swift after the new MacBook went on sale. Apple was making a killing on all those dongles, but it has now relented and lowered the prices. Some of Apple’s first-party adapters have seen price drops as high as 50%. In addition to the drop in dongle cost, Apple is lower prices on all USB Type-C and Thunderbolt peripherals by 25% through the end of the year.
