Apple has filed a patent for a foldable iPhone.
The Google Pixel 4 is following in Apple's iPhone's footsteps by featuring face unlocking software.
It looks like Apple is still serious about exploring the idea of some kind of fully virtual keyboard for its notebooks or perhaps an entirely new hybrid device. That is if a freshly updated patent is anything to go by. This isn't a new patent because Apple first filed a patent for a MacBook with a full virtual keyboard way back in 2011, and what Patently Apple has just spotted is a continuation application for that patent which adds new claims, and shows that Tim Cook’s firm is still actively exploring the concept.
Apple may have a solution for short battery life on the Apple Watch. Put the battery in the band. An Apple patent application dated today illustrates a battery on the strap of a wearable device, presumably the Apple Watch. The proposed patent also shows that watch's circular face, which is a different shape than the Apple Watch's usual rectangular display.
The iPhone maker reached a seven-year license deal with Ericsson over smartphone and tablet technologies. Fred Katayama reports.
