Brazil’s Covid-19 situation worsens drastically as country becomes World’s 6th worst-hit

Description

Brazil is Latin America’s worst-hit country by the coronavirus pandemic, but the country also passed France and became the World’s 6th country in cases, with over 190,000 cases and over 13,000 deaths. As FRANCE 24’s Rio de Janeiro correspondent Lucinda Elliott reports, the situation is worsening every day across the country, like in Manaus, São Paulo, or Rio de Janeiro, where the monumental Maracanã football stadium has been converted into a temporary field hospital.
