Hispano Suiza and competition have gone hand in hand since its inception in 1904. Since those years, participation in some of the most prestigious races of the time has not only given the brand an important national and international visibility, but has also allowed the brand to learn about the behavior of its vehicles brought to the highest level of demand, a key task to continue offering its customers increasingly powerful, reliable and, ultimately, better cars.In its new stage, Hispano Suiza has maintained this philosophy. Both the Hispano Suiza Carmen, as well as its more powerful version, Carmen Boulogne - which honors its triumphs in the George Boillot Cup, in Boulogne, a century ago - have been designed by competition engineers, and their development is in charge of authentic pilots racing. Likewise, Hispano Suiza officially participates in the new 100% electric SUV championship, Extreme E, an innovative category that promotes values as important as sustainability, equality and electrification, and that will also provide valuable knowledge that the brand can apply in future models .
Not many race circuits enjoy as close a bond with Bugatti as Targa Florio. The French manufacturer achieved five victories there. And now the new Divo and a Bugatti Type 35 are going head-to-head for the very first time on the historic track.Targa Florio, Type 35 and Bugatti Divo. Three legends, together at last. Bugatti is driving the Bugatti Divo around Sicily's historic race circuit. Joining the Divo is a Type 35, the most successful racing car of all time. This marks a very special kind of meeting. Between 1925 and 1929, Bugatti and the Type 35 dominated the long-distance race on Sicily. And in 1928 and 1929, one driver in particular demonstrated what he was capable of: Albert Divo.

Curtains up for the Bugatti Divo. Bugatti has presented its latest model as a world premiere. With the Divo, the French luxury brand has developed a super sports car tuned for agility, nimbleness and optimum handling performance on winding roads. It is powered by Bugatti's iconic eight-litre W16 engine with a power output of 1,500 PS. The aerodynamics of the model have been intensively fine-tuned and the suspension and chassis settings have been modified. As a result, the Bugatti Divo is 35 kilograms (77 lbs) lighter and has 90 kilograms (198 lbs) more downforce than the standard Chiron. The lateral acceleration of the Divo has been boosted to 1.6 g. Its maximum speed is limited to 380 km/h (236 mph). The Divo can lap the Nardò handling circuit in southern Italy eight seconds faster than the Chiron. The series will only consist of 40 vehicles. Upon the start of presentations to selected customers, the strictly limited small series, with a net unit price of €5 million, sold out immediately.
The DIVO is the most agile and dynamic car BUGATTI has ever created - a perfect homage for the 110th anniversary, which will be held in 2019. A monumental driving machine, production will be strictly limited to just 40 units. Combining heart-stopping acceleration and greater downforce, it is made to excite – a car built for corners. Thanks to its optimal handling performance, the DIVO dances nimbly through curves; every bend becomes an exhilarating moment, a thrill that endures. The DIVO is a more extreme BUGATTI. It represents a new interpretation of our philosophy ‘form follows performance’ with an uncompromising pursuit of the utmost aerodynamic efficiency. To shape the future, we have embraced the past. The DIVO harks back to the golden era of coachbuilding, a proud tradition nearly a century old, by uniting a rolling chassis with a brand new body. The design is imposingly powerful and striking – unmistakably BUGATTI.
