  • The new Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ Estate Design Preview

Since the legendary "Hammer" of 1986, the E-Class with its superior engine has been one of the central models which form the brand core of Mercedes-AMG. In the latest generation, the sporty vehicle dynamics of the performance models from Affalterbach are combined with considerably more comfort and supplemented by an extensive design update: the central cooling air inlet in the completely restyled front section is significantly larger then before and now also bears the AMG-specific radiator grille with twelve vertical louvres and central star which is also larger. Together with the flatter all-LED multibeam headlamps, the model's characteristic wheel arches flared further outwards and the rounded-fit bonnet with powerdomes, a completely new, considerably more dynamic appearance is created. The reshaped front apron in a jet-wing design with three large, functional air intakes and front splitter influences the overall vehicle proportions and also significantly reduces lift at the front axle. The interior is also thoroughly enhanced: the Widescreen Cockpit, the new AMG Performance steering wheel and the MBUX infotainment system with AMG-specific functions and displays underscore its membership of the AMG family. The new look of the Mercedes-AMG E63 4MATIC+ models, which catches the eye at first glance, is also down to technical reasons to a large extent. In order to ensure optimum air throughput around the 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine including charge air cooling, the outer air intakes in the jet-wing are not only particularly large; they also guide the air to where it is required in a targeted manner with the aid of two transverse louvres.

  • Mercedes-AMG E 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ Estate Interior Design

With the new Mercedes-AMG E 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ as a saloon and estate, the performance and sports car brand from Affalterbach is presenting two further plug-in hybrid models. They combine outstanding performance and driving dynamics with a long electric range. The combination of the 3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line engine and the permanently excited E-synchronous machine generates a maximum system output of 430 kW (585 HP) and a maximum system torque of 750 Nm. The performance is correspondingly dynamic: acceleration from 0‑100 km/h takes place in 3.8 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 280 km/h (saloon with optional AMG Driver's Package). Up to 140 km/h are possible purely electrically. The 120-kW electric motor is integrated into the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission to save space. The high-power density of the hybrid power unit is achieved by the permanently excited internal rotor synchronous technology. The electric motor's maximum torque of 480 Nm is available from the first revolution and ensures high agility even when starting off. The traction battery with 400 volts has a gross capacity of 28.6 kWh and is installed in the rear under the trunk floor. The energy content that can be used every day is smaller at 21.22 kWh, as part of the energy is always reserved for boosting and thus high-performance driving. Nevertheless, the high-voltage battery enables an electric range of up to over 100 kilometres.

  • The new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupe Interior Design in Patagonia Red

The second generation of the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé is the new top model in the Mercedes-AMG range. It combines highly dynamic driving characteristics with increased suitability for everyday use. High-tech components such as the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with semi-active roll stabilisation, standard rear-axle steering and active aerodynamics sharpen the active driving profile. The sporty coupé is also taking its output to the road for the first time with the fully variable all-wheel drive AMG Performance 4MATIC+. Combined with the AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine, this results in a driving experience of the highest level. The exclusive AMG sports car architecture with an elaborate composite aluminium body structure allows the car to be configured as a 2+2 seater. For a sports car in this class, this means a very generous interior for passengers and plenty of space for their luggage. As the fifth independent model series after SLS, the first generation of the two-door GT, GT 4-door Coupé and SL, the new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé once again demonstrates the high technological expertise of the Affalterbach development team. The vehicle will be available as an AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupé with 430 kW (585 PS) of output in October 2023 and as an AMG GT 55 4MATIC+ Coupé with 350 kW (476 PS) of output in July 2024.

  • Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE Estate Interior Design

The new Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE is a real game changer in the 55-year history of AMG. With know-how from Formula 1, it brings state-of-the-art technologies from motorsport to the road. A two-speed electric motor positioned on the rear axle supports the 2.0-litre turbo engine that is mounted longitudinally at the front. This is the most powerful production four-cylinder in the world. Power delivery and torque build-up occur very spontaneously and without delay: as in Formula 1, the electric support of the exhaust gas turbocharger eliminates the turbo lag of the combustion engine, while at the same time the electric drive pushes powerfully from a standstill. The electric powertrain and the high-performance battery with 400 volts are AMG-exclusive, in-house developments. They underline the high-end engineering competence of the Affalterbach-based developers. Just like in Formula 1, the battery is specifically designed for fast power output and draw with innovative direct cooling of the cells. The combined system output is 500 kW (680 hp), the combined maximum system torque 1020 Nm. These are new peak values for the C-Class.

  • Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC Estate Interior Design in high-tech silver

With technology derived directly from Formula 1, the latest generation of the Mercedes‑AMG C 43 4MATIC sets new standards for innovative drive solutions both as a Saloon and as an Estate. Following its premiere in the Mercedes-AMG SL 43, the AMG 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, the world's first series-production unit to feature an electric exhaust gas turbocharger, is now also being used in the C-Class. The new form of turbocharging guarantees particularly spontaneous response across the entire rev range and thus offers an even more dynamic driving experience. The turbocharger is operated via the 48‑volt electrical system, which also feeds the belt-driven starter-generator (RSG). In the Mercedes‑AMG C 43 4MATIC the unit produces 300 kW (408 hp) and, in certain driving situations, is able to call upon a brief additional boost of 10 kW (14 hp) from the RSG. The standard rear-axle steering, the AMG Performance 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive with rear-biased torque distribution, the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission with wet start-off clutch and the AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with Adaptive Damping System also contribute to the dynamic driving experience. In keeping with this, brand-specific features in the equipment and appointments as well as in the exterior and interior design emphasise the performance-oriented character of the new Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC.
