Turkish court tries 20 Saudis in absentia over journalist Khashoggi murder

Description

A court in Turkey is trying 20 Saudi officials for the murder of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The suspects, who are being tried in absentia, are accused of planning and carrying out the killing in the Saudi embassy in Istanbul in 2018, and include two top aides to the Saudi crown prince Mohammed Bin Salman who has himself denied ordering the killing. He has nevertheless said he should take full responsibility.
