Business Insider reports former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Sunday had sharp words for President Donald Trump's legal team. Christie told Martha Radditz on ABC's 'This Week' that the team's approach to overturning the election results was 'an absurdity.' It's an absurd idea to think that any state, or any number of states, no matter how good they are, can challenge another state's right to run the election as they see fit. Chris Christie Former Governor of the State of New Jersey Friday, the Supreme Court declined to hear the GOP-backed lawsuit brought by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton due to lack of standing. In addition to Paxton, 17 state attorneys general and 126 Congressional Republicans had signed an amicus brief backing the lawsuit. "The reason the Supreme Court is not taking this is not because of a lack of courage. It's for the same reason that every court has thrown this out. It's a lack of evidence and a lack of any type of legal theory that makes any sense."
The FBI is investigating a series of suspicious robocalls and texts urging voters to 'stay home and stay safe' during the election. A senior cybersecurity official said Tuesday that such calls 'happen every election,' and are a tactic to intimidate and suppress voters. According to Business Insider, approximately 10 million such robocalls have gone out to voters across the US in recent months. Officials in Michigan said that some voters in Flint also received calls telling them to go to the polls on Wednesday to avoid long lines on Tuesday. In Kansas and Nebraska, similar calls were reported. Officials urged voters in both states to ignore the false claims and head to the polls.

Whether they left because they resigned or were fired, the list of former Trump officials who say they'll be voting for Democratic opponent Joe Biden is growing. According to Business Insider, some have joined anti-Trump political coalitions such as The Lincoln Project, Republican Voters Against Trump, and others. Hoping to sway the votes of independent, undecided, and moderate Republicans, they've spent millions on campaign ads to oust Trump from the White House. Former DHS chief of staff Miles Taylor called working under Trump 'terrifying," saying many things Trump wanted the department to do were illegal. Former White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, says he'll be voting for Biden. And former national security adviser John Bolton won't be voting for Trump or Biden. Instead, he'll write in the name of a conservative candidate.
After much ado about mutable microphones and plexiglass shields, President Donald Trump will face opponent Joe Biden on Thursday. CNN reports Trump needs to not just perform well at the presidential debate, he'll need to pull a rabbit out of the hat to swing the race his way. The president trails Biden in both national polls and key swing states that will determine whether he has a path to victory in the Electoral College. Both candidates need to improve their standing with certain groups, though. Biden needs more Hispanic voters, and Trump is struggling to get White suburban women. Biden has been laying low recently, preparing for the event. Trump, meanwhile has been barnstorming across the country in full gripe-and-moan mode. The president spends his rallies insulting scientists and refusing any responsibility for the pandemic, which has created a huge drag on his poll numbers.
