President Donald Trump's campaign and Republican officials have filed nearly two dozen lawsuits since Election Day. It's an attempt to contest the results of the 2020 election. But according to Business Insider, none of the lawsuits so far have ended in victory. The campaign filed lawsuits and motions to intervene in cases in swing states Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. They've notched zero victories, 19 cases where they've withdrawn or lost. Three cases remain pending. CNN projects that voters in New Jersey and South Dakota have voted to legalize recreational marijuana. Poll results have not yet been determined in Arizona, Montana, and Mississippi for their legalization efforts. Pre-election polling showed that the measure had support in Arizona, Montana, and New Jersey. 33 states and Washington DC have already fully legalized medical marijuana. 11 states and Washington DC have also legalized recreational marijuana usage.

South Dakota has voted to legalize both medical and recreational marijuana. According to Business Insider, it's the first time a state has voted to legalize both types of access to cannabis at the same time. Medical marijuana cards will be issued to patients with debilitating, chronic conditions--subject to a healthcare provider's recommendation. Recreational cannabis sales will be taxed at 15%. The proceeds will be used to cover the program's costs and to fund public schools and the state's general fund. Residents of the highly conservative state will be allowed to possess up to 1 ounce of cannabis for recreational use.
