Algeria holds constitutional referendum as the Hirak movement calls for a boycott

Description

Algerians have voted this Sunday on whether to approve a constitution that proposes presidential term limits, and promises new rights. The referendum aims to quell persistent civil unrest, but the Hirak protest movement says that the proposed new text is simply a change of facade.
