Russian economy suffers due to coronavirus pandemic

Moscow, May 30 (EFE) .- Western sanctions imposed on Russia in 2014 due to its role in the conflict in Ukraine, together with the fall in the price of oil and the ruble plunged the country in a recession. The Russian economy suffers once again today due to the coronavirus pandemic, in combination with the prices of crude oil.In 2015, Russian GDP contracted by 2%.
