Meet Muja the American alligator, a retirement age reptile which zookeepers at the Belgrade Zoo claim is over 80 years old! The ancient alligator has slowed down a bit after his right leg was amputated, but he has kept his appetite. Muja has seen the world change many times over - he remains the only living inhabitant of the Belgrade Zoo that managed to survive a world war, three major bombing incidents in the country's capital and the 1990's Balkans crisis.
Chinese grandmother Fu Suqing celebrated her 119th birthday on August 2 in Chengdu, in the Sichuan province of China. According to official documents, Fu Suqing was born in 1897, back when the emperor of the Qing Dynasty still ruled China. She's left behind quite a large legacy too - 68 people in her immediate family, including six children and a great-great-grandson, who was born just before her birthday.
