A minute of silence has been held to honour Samuel Paty, the civics teacher brutally murdered after showing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammed in a lesson. As FRANCE 24’s senior reporter Chris Moore explains, the killing sent shockwaves through France, where teaching is regarded as the vanguard in protecting the country’s egalitarian values.
