Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized her GOP colleagues who are reportedly reluctant to impeach. Republicans are reporting they fear death threats from Trump's supporters. Ocasio-Cortez argued that many progressives have dealt with death threats for years. She stated it's a "privilege" for GOP members to be facing this danger for the first time. As President Donald Trump crosses the country in a last-minute frenzy of campaign stumping, he's given short shrift to down-ballot Republican senators. Speaking in Arizona on Wednesday, CNN reports Trump offered a mortifyingly dismissive introduction to the state's vulnerable GOP senator, Martha McSally. Martha, just come up fast. Fast. Fast. Come on. Quick. You got one minute! One minute, Martha! They don't want to hear this, Martha. Come on. Let's go. Quick, quick, quick. Come on. Let's go. US President Donald J. Trump Polls have shown McSally facing a tough reelection battle against her Democratic challenger, former astronaut Mark Kelly. And as they have in other tighter-than-expected Senate races, Trump's divisive behavior has been blamed for dragging down McSally's prospects. While she is still courting Trump supporters, she refused to say whether she was proud of the president during a recent Senate debate with Kelly.
After much ado about mutable microphones and plexiglass shields, President Donald Trump will face opponent Joe Biden on Thursday. CNN reports Trump needs to not just perform well at the presidential debate, he'll need to pull a rabbit out of the hat to swing the race his way. The president trails Biden in both national polls and key swing states that will determine whether he has a path to victory in the Electoral College. Both candidates need to improve their standing with certain groups, though. Biden needs more Hispanic voters, and Trump is struggling to get White suburban women. Biden has been laying low recently, preparing for the event. Trump, meanwhile has been barnstorming across the country in full gripe-and-moan mode. The president spends his rallies insulting scientists and refusing any responsibility for the pandemic, which has created a huge drag on his poll numbers.
