Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport Trailer

Description

Flat front end, dynamic design and impressive rear spoiler - it's clear from the outset that the new Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport yearns for corners and challenging country roads. Pure and unadulterated. A genuine thoroughbred.Bugatti has been producing sports cars homologated for public roads for over 110 years. In the past, vehicles such as the Type 13 and Type 35 have claimed countless victories at international hill climbs and road races. The Chiron Pur Sport is no exception to this long-standing tradition. The new model is an uncompromising hypersports car for exactly those winding roads - a new aerodynamic configuration generates more downforce while the lower weight increases agility. Even travelling at average speeds will stimulate all the senses thanks to a close-ratio transmission, high-performance tyres with a new material mix geared towards extreme grip as well as an agile chassis and suspension setup. By contrast with the Chiron Super Sport 300+, the record-breaking car that exceeded the threshold of 300 miles per hour for the first time, the Chiron Pur Sport focuses on extraordinary, tangible performance throughout the entire range of speeds.

  • Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport – production due to start soon

Shortly before the start of production of the new hyper sports car, the engineers are on the finishing straight of development on the proving ground Pista di Nardò (Nardò Technical Center) in the Italian region of Apulia. They are now changing only nuances and working on fine-tuning the engine control system, running gear, brakes and gearbox. The laps on the handling track in Nardò are the final check before development is completed. Also there: Andy Wallace, Bugatti test driver, instructor, long-time racing driver, Le Mans winner, and multiple winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona. Wallace knows the finer points of many different race cars and hyper sports cars, and is therefore familiar with the subtleties and special characteristics of the engine and running gear at all speeds. Last year, he broke the speed record with a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, and now holds this with a speed of 304.773 mph (490.484 km/h).

  • Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport – final handling tests on the Nordschleife

The new hyper sports car is undergoing its final handling tests at the Nürburgring before the chassis control software responsible for steering, dampers and ESC is locked in. From this point until the start of production, all systems are checked whether they work together correctly in the stress test. The engineers pay attention to the overall impression: “It's extremely important to us for the Chiron Pur Sport customer to instantly sense the much more radical approach we’re taking with this car in terms of driving dynamics. With its unusual topography, numerous bends and the high-speed section from Döttinger Höhe onwards, the Nordschleife is very demanding for both driver and vehicle so it’s ideal for our new car, which is streamlined for agility and speed,” says Stefan Ellrott, Head of Development at Bugatti. “This is why we’re running the final tests for fine-tuning the suspension and safety systems here in the Eifel. In addition to driving on the track, we also go out on the motorways and public roads around the Nürburgring, since there are lots of roads with curves and hills here. We are really satisfied with the results of our work.”
