Lia Salvo is taking women's polo to the next level in her home country, Argentina, where the male team is world renowned. Salvo spent a decade playing in Britain and the United States and recently became the first woman to play in the prestigious Jockey Club Open tournament in Buenos Aires.
Off-road driving in the Qatar desert has long been an all-male domain. For years it has attracted many adrenaline junkies, 4x4 enthusiasts and expats in search of adventure. But now a trailblazing woman is changing the face of the sport. Marcelle Visser who quickly rose through the ranks of the Qatari off-roading community is now helping to make the desert safer and encouraging many other women to also get in the driver's seat.
On a regular day, Parminder Kaur toils in the fields and tends to cattle but now she is making her presence count as one among an army of women who have taken up the cudgels against the Indian government's agricultural reforms.
