Indonesia 'dog doctor' rescues canines from butcher peril

Description

An Indonesian doctor runs a facility that shelters about 1400 dogs, many which were rescued from slaughterhouses with their mouths and legs tied, abandoned or sold during the coronavirus pandemic. Susana Somali, the shelter owner, has launched a herculean mission to end the country's long-criticised dog meat trade.
