Philippine sportswear manufacturer produces PPEs for frontliners in fight against COVID-19

Manila, Apr 17 (EFE/EPA).- A Philippine sportswear manufacturer has been using its factory to produce personal protective equipments (PPEs) , which will be distributed to public hospitals for free to help combat the spread of coronavirus in the country.According to Rhayan Cruz, Executive Vice President of LGR Sportswear, the factory decided to produce PPEs after hearing that there is a massive lack of the equipment for healthcare workers. With help from doctors, they produced a lightweight and reusable PPEs approved by the Philippines' Department of Health. The company donates PPEs to major public hospitals through donations and fundraising. (Camera: MARK CRISTINO).
