Plastic surgeons that they interviewed say that the demand for their services and even their waiting lists are at an all time high. This includes the demand for liposuction, cellulite treatments and nose jobs. DiAnne Davis, a board-certified dermatologist in Dallas said, "When we opened back up in May, people were beating down the doors to get in." The doctors believe that there are a number of reasons why demand is so high amid the pandemic. -Plastic surgery historically peaks during vacation season, when people are out of work. Because a lot more people are working from home, this has may have an impact. They also point to stress during the COVID crisis playing a role. Jessica Weiser, a board-certified dermatologist in New York City said, "No one has ever really looked at themselves in this way — for this long or this frequently — and I think that's driving a lot of the demand."
