Virus vaccine put to final test in thousands of volunteers

Description

The first of 30,000 volunteers in the United States are taking part in the world’s biggest coronavirus vaccine trial to date. Yet as Muhammad Munir, lecturer in biomedicine at Lancaster University warns, there is no guarantee that the experimental vaccine, developed by the National Institutes of Health and Moderna Inc., will really protect.
