Lalitpur, Aug 27 (EFE/EPA).- Hundreds of devotees from the ethnic Newar community in the Nepalese city of Patan celebrated Friday the Narsimha festival, hoping for world peace, prosperity and prevention from the natural disasters for the upcoming year. Kathmandu, Aug 22 (EFE/EPA).- The annual Janai Purnima, also known as the Raksha Bandhan festival, was being observed across Nepal on Sunday.During Janai Purnima, also known as the Sacred Thread festival or Rakshya Bandhan festival, Hindu men, especially the Brahmans and Chettris, perform their annual change of Janai, sacred threads worn across the chest or tied around the wrist.
