Barcelona, Oct 1 (EFE) .- Barcelona marked Friday the fourth anniversary of the Catalonia independence referendum with a pro-independence protest called by the Committees for the Defense of the Republic (CDRs).The demonstration began around 7.00 p.m. local time in Plaça Fransesc Macià in Barcelona and marched through the streets of the city without any major incident for the time being, although demonstrators were followed by several vans of the Mossos, the Catalonia police force, in case of possible quarrel.
