Disney Channel's 1999 movie about a "house of the future" was way ahead of its time. When it came out there were no digital assistants, smartphones or smart devices. The fictitious "Smart House" was a little far-fetched, but it did get some things right. The centerpiece of "Smart House," and today's smart homes, is an AI-powered smart assistant. Both "Smart House" and today's smart-homes support voice commands for temperature control.
