Senators Introduce Bill Defining Social Media Privacy

Description

Two senators have introduced a bill seeking to define social media privacy, and consumer rights in the digital age. The bill calls for sites and services like Facebook to write their terms of service in plain language, and to provide users with the right to opt out of data tracking and collection. Introduced by Senators John Kennedy and Amy Klobuchar, the bill also mandates that companies inform users of a data breach within 72 hours. Titled the Social Media Privacy and Consumer Rights Act of 2018, the bill focuses on the consumer rights of end users, by granting greater access to and control of data they are willing to share.

Come on. Quick. You got one minute! One minute, Martha! They don't want to hear this, Martha. Come on. Let's go. Quick, quick, quick. Come on. Let's go. US President Donald J.
